Archie Johson was born on June 8, 1927 to Mary Jane Gilbert-Johnson and David James Johnson.  He was one of eleven children.  He departed this life on October 28, 2022.

After high school, Archie moved to New York where he became a watchmaker apprentice.  Upon returning to Pittsburgh he worked for a watchmaker in the old Jenkins Arcade building in downtown.  He also played the piano at his home church, Bethany Baptist and the organ at several churches in the surrounding area. He retired from Squirrel Hill Flower Shop as their beloved friend and delivery driver.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by one sister Elda Mae Johnson-Murray and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to Renee Johnson and Judith Reaves (his nieces) and the caregivers at Corner View Nursing Home for the loving care they provided to Uncle Archie in his remaining years.
