On September 10, 2025 on a crisp beautiful Wednesday morning the lovely and free spirited Carol sadly passed away at Montefiore Hospital, surrounded by a cluster of Angels and Aliens battling to capture her wondering soul.

She was the daughter of Paul and Helen Koval of Homestead where she grew up and graduated in 1970 from Bishop Boyle High School.

Preceded in death by her loving husband: Robert J. Petronio; and daughter: Helen Koval-Gerenyi. Survived by her beloved son: Sean Koval; son-in-law: Drew Gerenyi; bonus children: Melanie John (Brian) of Colorado, Gina Winzinger (Andrew Matney), Robert Petronio (Chrissy) of Gibsonia, PA; cherished grandmother of: Merissa McBurney, Marguerite and Jeffrey Winzinger, and Olivia and Dominic Petronio; cousins: Mikey and Richie Czeczely; and a host of family and friends.

Services will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Aldrich Funeral Homes, 431 E 9th Ave, Munhall, PA 15146; Visitation: 12pm to 3pm with service following visitation. Interment will be held privately.
