David Tyrone Lewis was born on November 8, 1959 at Magee Hospital to proud parents Eulie Lewis of Waycross, Georgia and Dorothy Tillman Lewis of Alabama.  David was the baby and he had two older brothers, Darryl and RIckey and two older sisters, Duchess and Tiny.

After the passing of his mother, Davey moved in with his oldest sister, Duchess and her family.  From there, he attended Gladstone High School and graduated from Connelly Technical Institute where he studied Automobile Technical Mechanics.  With his passion for cars, David always had keen eye for exotic cars.

David had a "helping" spirit.  Everywhere he went he would always lend a helping hand, whether it was washing cars all season long, or having his own lawn service in the summer months.  All of Hazelwood would call up "Uncle Dave" when they needed a helping hand.  David would always have a smile on his face and a pip in his step. He made sure that whatever you wanted or needed got done. He made sure that he either had it done or did it himself.

David was always active.  You would see him walking on Second Avenue in Hazelwood from his sister's house to his niece's.  When you saw him on the avenue, he would always come up and speak. You could always ask him "What is going on today?"  He would always reply with the same old answer " Going to make my money, thengoing back to my apartment and relax for the night"  David was the backbone of the family, he made sure that everything was right, if not he would make it right.His smile, wisdom and laughter as well as his mechanical knowledge of cas will always be missed.
