Ethelene was born on November 7, 1938 from the union of Albert Miller and Ethel Mae Johnson in Pittsburgh, PA.  She attended and graduated from Wilkinsburg High School.  Ethelene later met and married the love of her life, the late Paul Rhodes and from this union their son Darrell was born.  Ethelene was a devoted wife and mother.  She cared for her family and loved them dearly.  Aside from caring for her family and others, Ethelene enjoyed cooking.

Ethelene went on to pursue her education in nursing through Presbyterian Hospital.  She later attended the nursing training program at CCAC, where she became a Certified Nurses Aide.  Ethelene was dedicated to helping people.  She began working as a residential aide for Turtle Creek Valley, assisting those with mental illnesses and continued that work for 27 years.

Ethelene was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ethel Mae; her two brothers; and her three sisters.

Ethelene leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved son Darrell Rhodes; and other family members and friends.  She will be eternally missed by all those her light touched during her life.
