Lawrence M “Buddy” Johnson was born on July 18th, 1952, to the late Lawrence M Johnson Sr and Annabelle Johnson. He was raised in Belle Vernon and attended the Belle Vernon school System.

He loved putting together diecast classic model cars. He also loved watching wrestling, westerns and he was an avid lover of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Buddy worked in the Allenport Steel Mill. Buddy and MaryKay were often seen walking from Pricedale to Monessen on many occasions. Buddy quietly passed away at his residents in Monessen on March 20th,2026.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Nikia Johnson (Raymond) of Charleroi. His devoted friend Mary Kay Thomas. Also survived by his brothers Robert and Julius Stitch. His sisters Gloria Johnson, Marvella Johnson, Kim Stitch, and Julie Stitch. Four grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held from 2pm to 4pm on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church, 945 Henry St., Belle Vernon, PA 15012. Interment will be held privately.
