Douglas Woodbury

Douglas Woodbury, a resident of Charlotte, NC, and a Pittsburgh, PA native, faced many challenges in his life that made him a better person but after a battle with COVID 19 the master saw it fit to end the battle and release him of the fight by taking him onto Glory at 6am on January 16, 2022, a snowy winter day. His passing proved a man whose influence went further than one could imagine leaving families and friends to rejoice in the memories of a life well-lived.

Douglas’ legacy will be forever cherished by his wife Lydia Woodbury, his mother Kathryn Sellers, his mother-in-law Lucy Dennis and father-in-law Joseph Dean, stepchildren; Andnesio Howard and Dana Thompson, grandchildren Olivia Thompson, and NiMarie Wright; siblings Kimberling Woodbury, Michael Woodbury, Kevin Woodbury, Christina Bennett (Charles), Andrea Matthews (Michael) and Elijah J. Sellers and their families.; his aunt Margaret Young; brothers-in-law Daniel Dean and Paul Dean, sisters-in-law Reba Dean, Tracy Dean, Wendy Dean-Henry and their families. Preceding him in death was his father Elijah Sellers and sister Lorraine Lewis. The network of memories is far reaching with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Our beloved Douglas was a lover, best friend, son, brother and friend to many and will be missed!

Services will be held at St. Paul AME Church 400 Orchard Place Pittsburgh, PA 15210. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Services will follow at 12:00PM
